Research-Based Collection Management
From initial registration to ongoing valuation: professional care for private art collections, supported by our own digital database.
ARTCARE supports collectors in professionally documenting their artworks, processing them with scholarly rigour and managing them over the long term. By combining art-historical expertise with digital infrastructure, we create a sound basis for the documentation and structuring of private art collections. With our proprietary database WebCollector, we accompany collections from initial registration to long-term care.
Beyond this, we offer well-founded market analyses and individual, up-to-date valuations for single works as well as entire collections. This keeps the value of your collection in view at all times, whether for insurance purposes, the strategic development of the collection or as a basis for acquisition and sale decisions.

ARTCARE works at the intersection of art-historical research, collection management and digital infrastructure. Our team combines art-historical expertise with many years of experience in the scholarly processing and digitisation of art collections.
With WebCollector, developed by ARTCARE, collectors have access to a state-of-the-art database solution designed specifically for the requirements of art collections. For nearly a decade, numerous private collections across Austria and Europe have been digitised, catalogued and systematically processed through this platform. We accompany collectors from the registration of individual works to the complete scholarly processing of entire collections, including from the ground up.

What We Do
DIGITISATION
& ARCHIVING
We bring structure to your collection, whether it has grown over time or is being built from the ground up. With our proprietary database WebCollector, we record, catalogue and digitise art collections on a sound scholarly basis, from the individual work to the entire holding. For nearly a decade, we have accompanied private collections across Austria and Europe in this way.
MARKET ANALYSES
& INDIVIDUAL VALUATIONS
We assess and analyse individual works as well as entire collections, soundly and on the basis of transparent figures. In this way, we determine the current value of a work or holding at any given point in time, whether for insurance purposes, the strategic development of the collection or as a reliable basis for acquisition and sale decisions.
BROKERAGE
& RESALE
On the basis of well-founded valuations, we place individual works with new collectors through the ARTCARE network. Those who do not wish to sell a work outright but lack the space for it can instead release it for art rental. This keeps the work in circulation and on view, rather than disappearing into storage.
PROFESSIONAL
STORAGE
When space runs short, we take care of professional transport, high-quality packing and the secure storage of your works. Our protected art storage facility in Vienna spans two floors and more than 300 square metres. Whether individual paintings, large-format sculptures or entire sections of a collection, every work finds its safeguarded place with us.
This service is aimed at high-quality individual works as well as holdings from private collections. ARTCARE supports collectors in the documentation, research and preparation of their works and assesses whether placement or consignment with established European auction houses is sensible and feasible.
Works from a range of areas are considered, including Old Masters, icons, European art of the 16th to 18th centuries as well as Modern and Contemporary art.
