The exhibition PASSION offers visitors a deeply personal cabinet of curiosities featuring paintings, sculptures, glass, and bronzes – a spiritual space entirely dedicated to connection and reconciliation. The collection presents art as beauty, as the unifying force in the seemingly foreign, and as peace.

PASSION

She is passionate, full of joy, enthusiasm, and love.

Passion is a counter-concept to arbitrariness - a statement.

The Simacek Collection is thus inextricably linked to the entrepreneur Ursula Simacek. True to the principle of "creating quality of life with joy," an extraordinary collection of contemporary art has been created over the years – guided by curiosity, openness, and a keen sense of quality.

The unifying element is not stylistic coherence, but rather the uncompromising search for artistic quality and a profound passion: art as an expression of joie de vivre, as a source of happiness, as a mirror of a multifaceted, diverse world.

Key impulses come from the young Viennese art scene, whose energy and innovative spirit have exerted a strong international attraction over the last 30 years. The collection thus includes numerous works by artists who received their academic training in Vienna but come from all over the world.

A strong focus on Africa illuminates the diversity and boundlessness of contemporary African art, whose influence shapes art globally today. This is complemented by significant works from Austria and Germany, American Pop Art, works inspired by Japanese manga that are closely related to pop culture, and pieces by young artists from Iran. The boundaries between design and fashion aesthetics become blurred.

Visitors gain profound insights into the human soul. Monumental masterpieces meet the highest quality prints, object art meets conceptual approaches. Alongside established names are young artists who are just beginning to conquer national and international exhibition halls with their individual forms of expression.

The exhibition PASSION offers visitors a deeply personal cabinet of curiosities featuring paintings, sculptures, glass and bronze – a spiritual space entirely dedicated to connection and reconciliation.

The collection presents art as beauty, as something that connects in the seemingly foreign, and as something that fosters peace in a diverse society. The exhibition offers a glimpse into the dream of making the world a better place and is an enthusiastic celebration of the human capacity to translate abstract thoughts into aesthetic form, sharing them across cultures and fostering understanding.
