The Embassy of Good Taste

Each year, AURUM 999,9 MagBook invites guests to an exclusive Private Dinner Club held at a location that is usually not accessible to the public. Following the impressive events in 2023 at Palais Pick and in 2024 at Das Artmann, this year’s event took place at the Fiandre Showroom in Servitengasse, 1090 Vienna. Fiandre is a renowned Italian manufacturer of porcelain stoneware and operates a Vienna showroom showcasing innovative surface solutions.

Over the course of three weeks, guests were able to enjoy festive evenings in an elegant setting—from a refined cocktail reception and a seated dinner at a long communal table to artistic and cultural highlights.

This year, House of SIMACEK, in cooperation with ARTCARE, dedicated a special dinner week to the works of renowned Biennale artists Jakob Lena Knebl and Ashley Hans Scheirl. The artist duo creates striking, immersive installations at the intersection of art, design, and staging.

Special thanks go to Mag. Ursula Simacek (SIMACEK Group), whose invitation made this unique setting possible. Through her support, art became accessible in new ways and could be shared through inspiring conversations.

The artist duo creates striking, immersive installations at the intersection of art, design, and staging. Their works have been presented at institutions such as the Deichtorhallen Hamburg (PASSAGE) and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris (DOPPELGANGER!). In 2022, they represented Austria at the 59th Venice Biennale. Jakob Lena Knebl has held a professorship in Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna since 2021, while Ashley Hans Scheirl served as Professor of Contextual Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna until 2022.

They live and work together at the Prater Studios in Vienna.

Currently, Jakob Lena Knebl is presenting her latest solo exhibition La Primavera at Galerie Meyer Kainer in Vienna. The exhibition runs from 28 March to 24 May 2025.
